Thank you for the web site for the City of Rawson,
Argentina.  For me it is fascinating.

Here is some more information that I just found out.
My grandmother in Houston was a nurse. She married my
Dad's father because he was a doctor and everyone in
the Rawson family for generations were doctors before
him. My grandfather gave up his practice becuse he
loved the railroads, so he decided to work for the
railroad in Houston.  My grandmother never really
forgave him for that decision.

Well, now I see this about Dr. William Rawson in
Argentina, who I think was also the minister of the
interior in the 1860's. Apparently he had a relative
who died in the yellow fever outbreak in 1870's and
the obituary says the following...

"Benjamin Franklin Rawson (artist), the son of an
American doctor and brother of Dr William Rawson,
founder of the Argentine Red Cross"

Makes me wonder...lol. (In the Rawson family the
middle names always changed, but every first born son
was a William Rawson.  My dad was William Branton and
I am William Derik.

Never dull.  Bizarre....lol  Life is
intersting...always...
