Re: [TANGO-L] A method of improvisation: "There is more than one way to cook an omlette"

C'mon Aron, do not take it personal.
It is only writing.
I've just tried to find "another way to fry eggs" for your own omlette.

Speaking of which.
This is one of the most powerful methods ( and easy ) of improvisation.
If you did it one way - do it in another.
Bringing it to extreme, if you did it one way - do in the opposite.
It can be applied to anything, like
if you step smoothly, step sharply; if you did it one step, do it in two; if
you did it in one direction, do it in another one, even opposite; if you
usually made a step in a figure, make a pause there, and so forth,
limitless.

Interestingly, this method is directly connected to "Surprise":
If your partner expects it to be done or lead in one way - do it in
opposite, surprise your partner.
Even show the intention, and when the partner thinks it will be done in one
way, change it to another one.
This usually generates a lot of excitement, keeps interest, and make the
dance unique and unforgettable.
All good stories have a lot of surprises inside, isn't it?

Igor.
