Dear All:
The difference in a word is "elegance". In Europe
good taste. Nicely dressed people and beautiful
settings. In the USA bad taste. Poorly dressed
people and hotel ballrooms/dance studios.
PS- This is why at FANDANGO in Austin this last
Thanksgiving, the organizer had to ask people in
writing to try to dress well for the Satuday milonga.
