The world also accepts that many of the best musicians
and conductors of the last and this century were
Hungarians.
Liszt, Bartok, Kodaly, von Dohnanyi, and on a lighter
note Kalman and Lehar...Szell, Solti, Ormandy,
Fricsay, Joachim, Szigeti, Geza Anda, Fisher, Lili
Kraus, Schiff and the list goes on and on.
Quite disproportionate and extraordinary for such a
small country.
Why? Tradition, Tradition, Tradition, good popular
music and excellent music schools.
