[TANGO-L] Tangueros/as

Daniel says:

"Hi fellow Tangueros/as .(is there a plural for bi-gender tango dancers?...
come on, Serge - you'd know),"...

In first place thank you for the reference to the pictures, Daniel, they
really are beautiful.

As to plurals :

In Spanish (generally speaking) the plural masculine could be a reference to
masculine plural or it could include entities of both sexes, masculine and
feminine.

Tanguero (singular - masculine) Tanguera (singular - feminine) Tangueras
(plural - feminine).

Tangueros (plural for only men or for a group of men and women mixed
together).

Hijo (son - singular) Hija (daughter - singular) Hijas is the
plural for hija (daughter).

Hijos could be plural for sons only, or for a mixture of sons and daughters.

Neuter almost disappeared from Spanish, where it was replaced by the
masculine. I say almost because it is still present in some cases such as
"Lo bueno" (the good" , "lo peor" (the worst), etc,
where the article "LO" is used.

Best regards, Sergio
