[TANGO-L] Manners

My own view is that if listers criticize a teach and give sound reasons for
their criticism, or praise a teacher and give sound reasons for their praise,
they are making a useful contribution to all of us. After all, anyone can
respond and challenge a particular judgement which has been made, and we can
all read both views, and then use our own judgement. If we can see opinions,
preferably a lot of them, it can help us to decide, for example, whether or not
to go to classes given by a particular teacher.

What I do find annoying is those people who give criticism or praise, but do
not give adequate reasons to enable me to decide whether to believe their
judgement or not. We should be trying to encourage and clarify debate and
discussion, and certainly not to stifle it.
