[TANGO-L] VIDEOS of last month's Tango Protesta of Buenos Aires

Most of you are aware of last month's "Tango Protesta" that happened
outside Club Villa Malcolm on the night of Jan 21, 2005, when the police
closed down the Milonga and the crowd took to the streets (Avenida
Cordoba) to continue dancing.

I have finally processed the videos of that event that I had taken and
have posted them on BuenosAiresMilongas.com.

(then click on the link to the Tango Protesta report)

There are 4 videos, including the news report the following day from
Cronica TV in Buenos Aires. A low-resolution version is available for
those who still have slow modem connections, but I recommend the
high-bandwidth version if you have the bandwidth.

It was a moving experience for those who were there, and it captured the
hearts of Tango dancers around the world when it was reported. The
videos will give you a better idea of what it was like to be there (much
better than the photos that were initially posted, and which are still
there). Many well-known milongueros can be spotted, as well as numerous
foreigners, so you are quite likely to see someone you know!

Enjoy!
