Tom, I'm sure the sound from your JVC Kaboom is satisfyingly loud but I
wonder whether there are large peaks in its frequency response. The
Kaboom features a tube-shaped body for greater woofer power, much like
the now-classic Bazooka car speaker. Typically, a tube-shaped speaker
cabinet will resonate at one frequency far more efficiently than at
others. In the sound business, we call these designs 'one-note wonders'.
