Generally speaking, dance shoes cost anywhere from about $90.00 to 175.00.
Tango Shoes:
Tango shoes generally offer more support than ballroom shoes. They usually
have hard leather soles and may be worn on the street.
There are a few companies in the US dealing in tango shoes.
Viviana
sells shoes made in Argentina. She does special orders. Cost is about 130.00

Jorge Nel - Mr. Tango Shoes
makes special order shoes in Columbia. They are inexpensive - about $80-90

Tara Tango Shoes
designs elegant, high-end shoes built for comfort and durability. The price
reflects the quality, between $140 and $160.

Ballroom Shoes:
You can buy shoes designed for ballroom dancing at many online sites as well
as in your local dance shoe stores. Ballroom shoes are soft, and usually
last about 6 months, if you dance a lot. They have suede soles which may or
may not work well for tango and salsa. You may not wear them on the street
without ruining the soles. Average cost $120.00
