Music Available

Those of us who have been collecting Tango music for more than a decade have
seen a big change: there is a lot available that wasn't before. There is
almost an avalanche now. It's unbelievable what is being uncovered and put
out.

And - you guessed it - there's much you don't want to hear. There are
literally dozens of new releases that come from incredibly inferior
recordings dug out of gawd knows where surfacing.

If you've bought bad product in the past, I assure you there is even worse
becoming available.

I'm with you if you are praying we haven't reached the end of the trail in
finding good old recordings. But many will tell you that probably 99% of the
"properly" recorded offerings of the great musicians of the past are now
out.

Collectors know that it's always Buyer Beware in terms of quality.

Unless you are like the person who will not rest until he has every version
of La Cumparsita ever put down. He's has over 1500 at this point, I believe.

I've been asked many times about my cleaned compilations. If I had found a
source like me a few years ago when I started collecting, I would have have
more Tango enjoyment over the years.

If you're looking for quality and variety in the core of Tango, Vals and
Milonga, see http://www.ToTANGO.net.
