Thanks, Manuel - here in New Zealand it's very hard to find men's shoes
that are suitable for tango. Most street shoes I find are very heavy, with
thick soles, and I feel like Ronald McDonald when I'm dancing in them.
I've got some International ballroom dance shoes - the 'latin american'
style, with 1 1/2" heels - light, but they don't offer a lot of support.
Plus, they're suede-soled, which is good when you're on a good floor, but
not good otherwise.
I'd falsely assumed that this wasn't the case in other countries, and that
y'all had a bountiful supply of top-quality men's tango shoes on hand - now
I realize that's not the case, I feel a little better :).
Does anyone know of particularly good places to order men's shoes via the
internet(or by mail)? Replies to me privately, please, unless you really
want to share it - I'm aware that this issue was thrashed a bit a little
while ago.
Thanks for your time,
Daniel

Dear list
I can only say exactly the same things about Pilates as Greg and Tom
did...it has been wonderful for developing a true axis and a good
posture, also for getting to know my own movements and constraints.. it
helps me when analyzing my problems with certain steps and figures,
releasing tension in false places to lead it to a useful place. I can use
the knowledge obtained in teaching tango to others as well. What is nice
also for the lazy ones (of which I am one), it has nothing to do with
incredible amounts of sweating body work... just with breathing and
concentration on small movements...
Go do it..
