Hummm!!??? >:-<<

Date: Sun, 16 May 1999 20:58:02 -0300 From: Janis Kenyon <jantango @FEEDBACK.NET.AR> Subject: Hosting Tango Teachers in the United States To Tango-L workshop organizers in the US: Argentines can visit the United States for up to three months as tourists. If the purpose of their visit is to work, they are required to have a work permit and visa. I have talked recently on several occasions with the Consulate at the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires about this because I have been assisting teachers in getting the visas once their work permits have been approved by INS. This process requires two visits to the Embassy and many hours of waiting in line. The process of obtaining a visa can take as long as four months to complete. I recommend that you allow enough time for this process when organizing workshops with tango teachers from Buenos Aires. Janis Kenyon
