Subject: Re: La Paloma
Hello Tango Lovers:
I've received several responses from one of the Elvis Presley newsgroups on the
adaptation of "La Paloma" (by Sebastian Yradier). The name of the song Elvis sang
is "No More" and it is in his "Blue Hawaii" album (1961).
No, I'm NOT an Elvis Presley fan, but when I heard "La Paloma" on the "Two to
Tango/The Tango Project, II" CD, it was driving me nuts since I knew I heard
Elvis sing a song to "La Paloma" decades ago.
My apologies if my request for this info was a bit tacky!!

Hi all,
I am wodering if anyone has some good hotel recommedatins for a stay in BsAs.
I stayed in the Pheonix on San Martin and Viamonte in Oct for about $50 per
nite and it was adequate, but I wonder if anyone has some real gem they could
let me know about.
Also, I never saw or heard any live tango orchestras when I was there, do they
usually appear in some special venue, do they advertise. Do you have any
information about where one can hear live music in BsAs.
Thanks, sherrie

Subject: Brigitte Winkler In Colorado
I usually don't like to post local events to the list, figuring there is
already enough chatter and these things are best advertised through
websites. However, it is rare that Brigitte Winkler tours the wWestern US.
I believe that she'll be in Albuquerque following Denver.
More distant friends should note that Tango Mujer will be performing in
Colorado the last two weeks of July. The Colorado tango community will be
doing a number of activities during the same time period. The snow has
melted enough by mid July that hiking and camping in the high mountains is
easier.
Please note also that Colorado will be visitted by Julio Balmaceda in early
April, Luciana Valle in late May, and Florencia Taccetti in June.

LS,
lezen.
Eugene Mesman.
