Subject: mailing list archive isn't working anymore
Hola listeros,
The archive, that used to be in
http://sunsite.ubc.ca/TangoBC/Tango-L/
isn't working at the moment.
I hope it is only temporary. Does anybody know more?
There was a discussion at august 19th in the Maillinglist "Reason for
E-mail solicitations".
Of course, who ever posted in Tango-L with his real email-adress can be
a target for unsolicited mail. But because discussions grow a little bit
lengthy in Tango-L, I realy like the archive.
If you want to discourage the sender of unsolicitet email, use an
automatic complaint form like the one in http://spamcop.net/
Best regards, Stefan

to thank Sergio for his translations! his injected humor was a lot of fun. I
need to know Sergio's(from Erie ) e-mail, does anyone know how to contact
him? Thanks, sherrie

Subject: Buying Tango CDs on the Internet
For those of you that had an interest in the postings last week about Tango
music on the internet. I noticed today that Zivals web-site is back up in a
Beta test mode. You can see what they have to offer (it looks like nearly
1300 CDs) but I don't think you can order yet. The web-site can be found
at:
www.zivals.com
I have no financial interest, just passing on info that I think other's have
an interest in.

Subject: Milonga planned to aid earthquake victims
Hello tango citizens,
Visiting New York City this past weekend I learned that Carlos Funes (an
Argentine fellow living in NY and known affectionately as "the Godfather")
is planning a milonga to benefit the Red Cross's efforts to aid victims of
the recent earthquake in Turkey. I'll post details when I learn
them--unless someone closer to the source can provide an update sooner.

Hello list,
Does anyone know the whereabouts of our beloved teacher Metin Yazir? I'm so
concerned that he might have been at home in Turkey last week..... please
let us know where he is (Munich maybe?). Thanks!

And some observations of my own:
Tango is rules without rules.
Tango is where Cinderella and the Prince are now.
Tango is spelled L-I-F-E.
Tango is a secret you share.
Tango is Argentina's gift to the world. Thank a porteno!
Tango is a poor man's Viagra.
Argentine tango is a community.
Ballroom tango competes, Argentine tango connects.
Tango milonga is an event where a woman can wear her slinkiest slits and
her pointiest spikes and still feel honored, respected, and safe as a

Argentine tango is the hometown social dance that made it to Broadway
