OCT 30-31: TANGOMUJER DANCE COMPANY IN DC
Tickets are now on sale for performances by TangoMujer Dance Company,
Thursday and Friday, Oct. 30-31 at the University of Maryland's georgeous Clarice
Smith Performing Arts Center.  Don't miss the much anticipated Washington debut
of TangoMujer, the internationally-acclaimed company of all-female tango
dancers.  The women of TangoMujer bring a unique sensibility to their performances,
moving past cliches and expanding the passionate vocabulary of tango to
include humor, fantasy, irony, and creative movement. Get a sneak preview in the

The theatre is beautiful, but on the small side, and these two shows are
expected to sell out.  Call the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center,

FRIDAY POST-PERFORMANCE MILONGA
The Friday performance will be immediately followed by a special Halloween
milonga in honor of TangoMujer's debut in Washington.  This event will be held
just down the hall from the theater.  Costume contest, dueling DJs, and dance
demos.  Note: no street shoes in the studio!

Admission: $10. Proceeds to benefit TangoMujer and Baltimore Tango. Please

NOV. 1-2: TANGO WORKSHOPS WITH THE COMPANY
The women of TangoMujer are world-class instructors as well as performers -
take advantage of this special weekend of workshops with Rebecca Shulman,
Brigitta Winkler, Valeria Solomonoff, Fabienne Bongard, and Sharna Fabiano.
Workshop topics will be added soon.

SATURDAY, NOV. 1
On Saturday there will be two classes running concurrently - Beginner level
in one studio and Advanced level in the other.

1-2:30 pm - Beginners I - Taught by Sharna, with Fabienne
1-2:30 pm - Advanced I - Taught by Rebecca, with Valeria
2:45-4:15 pm - Beginners II - Taught by Fabienne, with Rebecca
2:45-4:15 pm - Advanced II - Taught by Brigitta, with Sharna
4:30-6 pm - Beginners III - Taught by Rebecca, with Brigitta
4:30-6 pm - Advanced III - Taught by Valeria, with Fabienne

SUNDAY, NOV. 2
On Sunday there will be only one series of workshops, all at the intermediate
level.
1-2:30 pm - Intermediate I - Taught by Brigitta, with Valeria
2:45-4:15 pm - Intermediate II - Taught by Valeria, with Rebecca
4:30-6 pm - Intermediate III - Taught by Fabienne, with Brigitta
