The Portland ValenTangoFest will take place Feb 13-16. Highlights are:

7 great instructors,
6 milongas,
4 guest DJ's,
27 different classes,
3 supervised practicas,
2 all-night milongas,
Saturday Valentine Tango Ball
Bertran Levy on Bandonion with the Seattle City Tango Sextet,
Sunday dinner milonga,
Lots of out-of-town guests, schmoozing and dancing.

Name:  Portland's 6th Annual ValenTango

Dates:  Friday-Sunday, February 13-16, 2003

Instructors:  Miriam & Hugo (Buenos Aires/L.A.), Alicia Pons (Buenos Aires),
Jorge Nel (Columbia/Miami) & Deena Burke (Seattle),
and Felipe & Kat (Spain/San Francisco).

Classes: 27 classes ranging from Beginner's to Advanced on Fri-Sun, Feb
14-16.

Practicas: 3 one-hour supervised practicas where you can ask the
instructors.

Milongas:  6 milongas starting Thursday Feb 13 and running thru Sunday
evening.  1 of these is a dinner milonga and 2 of these are all night.
(Also, there's a milonga Monday, Feb 17 if you care to stick around!)

Orchestra: Betram Levy on Bandonion with the Seattle City Sextet
Tango Orchestra (www.tangoheart.com/index.htm) play Saturday night.

DJ's: Dan Boccia from Alaska, Jo Ann Palubinskas from San Francisco
Robin Thomas from New York, and Jaimes Friedgen from Seattle.

Venues: All workshops and the Thursday and Sunday milongas will be at the
Viscount Ballroom, 722 E Burnside, Portland, Oregon. Friday and Saturday
milonga will be at the Norse Hall, 111 NE 11th, just 5 blocks from the
Viscount. Both locations have a full bar. (Minors may attend all events
except Thursday and Sunday evening milongas at the Viscount)

Hotels and Local Guest Housing: Thriftlodge, 949 E Burnside, is only 2
blocks from the Viscount Ballroom and 3 blocks from Norse Hall.  For
