The Tango Club of Albuquerque presents a weekend with
Agustina Videla & Claudio Asprea
January 10-12, 2003
Lloyd Shaw Dance Center, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Agustina & Claudio have been dance partners since 1997. They have appeared
in many festivals and shows in Argentina, Europe and the U.S. Their shows
include Tango 2000 with the Néstor Marconi Orchestra, performances with
numerous live orchestras, and at important Buenos Aires milongas, including
Parakultural and Gricel. They also performed with Tango Argentino, as
official representatives of Argentina at the Universal Lisboa Fair 1998.
Agustina & Claudio have toured Europe several times, performing and teaching
in Austria, France, Germany, Luxemboug, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, and a
number of cities in the United States including New York, Washington, and
San Francisco. Their January 2002 workshop, here in Albuquerque, was very
well received, and the Tango Club is delighted to host this return visit.

Friday, January 10
Tango Salon Style I, 7:00-8:30 pm. Caminadas (walks), and half turns with
changes of directions. Ochos & paradas. Embellishments for the woman.

Saturday, January 11
Tango Salon Style II, 1:00-2:30 pm. Giros finishing with barridas and
different combinations using barridas.
Milonga (the dance), 3:00-4:30 pm. Technique and musicality in dancing the
Milonga.

Sunday, January 12
Sacadas, 1:00-2:30 pm. Sacadas for men and women in close embrace.
Vals, 3:00-4:30 pm. Technique, musicality and fluidity in Tango Vals.

All classes & Friday night milonga at Lloyd Shaw Dance Center, 5506 Coal SE
(between Central &  Zuni, 2nd block east of San Mateo). Saturday Night
Milonga at La Posada de Albuquerque. Sunday Night Milonga/Potluck location &
details to be announced.
