SEATTLE'S FIRST EVER TANGO MARATHON - Fri-Sun, May 10-12, 2002
The Seattle Tango Community has joined together to create a weekend of workshops, practicas and LOTS AND LOTS OF tangoing. Our purpose is to
(a) Provide an event which showcases all the great Seattle tango teachers,
(b) Attract tangueros from other cities to Seattle for an affordable weekend of tango celebration, and
(c) Heighten visibility and awareness of Argentine Tango in the Seattle area.

FRIDAY, MAY 10, 2002 -Workshop (A) and milonga at the Wilsonian Ballroom, 4718 University Way NE, Seattle
A. 7:30-9:00 PM "Tango for Dummies" with Steve, Michelle, Sue & Clay - $15 (Bring an absolute beginner and get in 2-for-1)
9:00-1:00 AM "Friday Milonga" hosted by Michelle and the DJ: Larry Martin - $5 (Free admission with workshop above)
SATURDAY, MAY 11, 2002 - Workshops (B&C) and practica at Sonny's Newman's Dance Hall, 201 N 85th St, Seattle
B. 12:30-2:00 PM "Fooling Around and Sociably Responsible Tango" for Int/Adv with James, Mario, & Garin - $15
C. 2:15-3:45 PM "Tango Classics" for Int/Adv with Sonny, Patty, Michelle & Evan - $15
4:00-7:00 PM "Supervised Practica" with all teachers in attendance and available. DJ is Andrew Brown - $5
Workshop (D) and All-Night Milonga at the Fusion Dance Studio, 340 15th East, Seattle
D. 8:30-10:00 PM "The Forbidden Fruit of Social Tango: Flying Ganchos!" for Int/Adv with Tony & Ilana - $15
10:00-4:30 PM "All-Night Milonga" hosted by Tony & Ilana. DJs are Tony F, Bill P, Andrew B, Michael Z. - $10
SUNDAY, MAY 12, 2002 - Workshop (E) and Tango Tea at a location to be announced.
E. 12:20-2:00 PM "Tango Tecnica Para Hombres & Mujeres" for all levels with Alex, Patricia & Gabriela - $15
2:00-5:00 PM "Tango Tea Dance" An afternoon of dancing, food, mixers, contests and surprises organized by the Seattle Argentine Community. DJ is John Isley - $5

7:30-8:30 PM "Tango Lesson" with Sonny. Free!
8:30-midnight "Milonga" hosted by Sonny and Nancy - $5
