US Qualifying Event
IDO World Professional Argentine Tango Championship
Friday, May 31, 2002, Tango dancers from around the US will vie for the
opportunity to represent the US in the IDO Professional Argentine Tango
finals in September at the United States DanceSport Championships (USDSC).
Both events are being held at the Fontainebleau on Miami Beach. The
qualifying event takes place in May at the USTC Tango Fantasy festival, and
the finals in September at the USDSC.
Last year 9 couples competed at the US qualifying event and four couples made
it to the finals. Christian Camacho and Monica Llobet from the US won the
championship.
