The Kitchen brings to New York the premiere of Incursi=F3n. Tema: Fausto=8Bthe highly acclaimed Argentinean music-theater work by composer Incorporates the rhythms and poetry of the vast Argentinean pampas into an original contemporary score. Libretto is by underground actress/playwright Mar=EDa In=E9s Aldaburu, direction by Carlos Lipsic, and musical direction by Santiago Santero. Fausto is based on Fausto Criollo (Creole Fausto), a satirical poem by renown Argentinean poet, Estanislao del Campo. It recounts the impressions of a gaucho who attended the premiere of Charles Gounod's Faust at the Buenos Aires Opera in 1866, and believed that every event unfolding on stage was real. Deeply rooted in the tradition of Gaucho poetry, it features the voices of four actors and a narrator with video projections of Argentinean landscapes and film material from F. W. Murnau's Faust. Music is scored for a string trio (looking towards Europe) and two guitars (looking towards the pampas), with percussion functioning like a nexus that unites both latitudes. b) ELPERIFERICO DE OBJETOS: M=E1quina Hamlet @ BAM An Inventive Rendering of Heiner M=FCller's Hamlet Machine Next Wave Festival presents U.S. premiere of the production created by the renowned Argentinean theater company Oct 18=8B21 at 7:30pm @ BAM Harvey Theater BAM Harvey Theater is located at 651 Fulton Street in Fort Greene, Brooklyn..
