Subject: NA-W: Ramiro Giglioti Music workshop for tango dancers,
Los Angeles Oct. 27th and 29th 2000
RAMIRO GIGLIOTTI,
part of the 'Grupo Graciela Gonzales', on his tour of the US and Canada
this Fall,
will stop in LOS ANGELES and
give his already famous in Buenos Aires,
MUSIC WORKSHOP FOR DANCERS.
Good dancer and professional musician, Ramiro put all his insider
knowledge of music at the service of tango dancers.
- In this workshop he explores the structure of music as a way to
understand and dance to the music following the different intricate
themes that make the music so beautiful.
- He will explore different ways to step on the beat and to create
syncopation and traspie, all for tango milonga and waltz.
- He makes you understand deeply the differences between the various
orchestras. what make them different and why they inspire us certain
things rather than others.
And so on I could tell you a lot about it since I was so fortunate to
take this workshop in Buenos Aires last June, it is really great and
changed my perception of the dance, made me more aware and improved my
way of following as a woman, but I am sure a man can get even more out
of it on how to dance to the music and how to play freely with it.
So here is all the info you need to come to the:
MUSIC WORKSHOP FOR DANCERS,
taught by Ramiro Gigliotti
LOS ANGELES FRIDAY OCTOBER 27th
SUNDAY OCTOBER 29TH
AT THE : HOLLYWOOD DANCE STUDIO
817 N. HIGHLAND (1 and 1/2 block North of Melrose)

Subject: Pablo Veron Workshop in Tampa Bay
Exciting News for Tango Lovers!
I am thrilled to be able to announce a weekend of workshops with the
incomparable Pablo Veron on November 10, 11, & 12th.
The workshops will be held at Dancer's Rendezvous, 4445 East Bay Drive,
Largo, FL.
Everyone involved with the world of Argentine Tango knows of Pablo Veron,
but for those that are new, let me tell you a little bit about him. Pablo
was the star of the critically acclaimed movie "The Tango Lesson" and if you
haven't seen it, please take a trip to Blockbuster and rent it. This movie
has been responsible for introducing many people to this wonderful dance
that we all love so much. Pablo was also one of the featured dancers in the
revival of the hit Broadway show "Tango Argentino" last year and is know as
one of the world's most unique and innovative dancers.
Last June I took a trip to Montreal to attend one of his workshops and I
found Pablo to be an excellent and caring teacher. He presents his material
and technique in an exciting and easy to comprehend manner and was very
attentive to people's varying needs.
Pablo is very active with performing and other aspects of Tango and now
teaches very few workshops. Don't miss this rare opportunity to study with
one of the world's greatest dancers and most charismatic personalities.
