AT THE WESTSIDE JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER 5870 W. OLYMPIC BLVD (east of Fairfax) Los Angeles classes between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm, milonga starts at 9:15 pm Real Argentinean dinner is served for few extra bucks. There is a new milonga going on in Los Angeles. Three girls and two boys decided to team together to have fun dancing tango here in Los Angeles. Daniela and Armando went and left a void especially among the youngest that dance tango. We decided to take their heritage and after a while found a great space and so we said to ourselves why not! The idea is to promote tango out of the usual environment and to have a milonga with great music the way of Buenos Aires, when the music is well managed it is really hard to stop dancing. A lot of people in the tango community here in LA supported us and we really thank them. Furthermore the LA Times got interested in us and visited our last milonga in September. They wrote a very nice article on our tango community, if you wish to check it out you can find it posted here: http://www.latimes.com/communities/news/westside/20001006/tws0001418.html So come and visit us this Thursday October 12, 2000 I am sure you will have fun. ciao Luisa Veronica Libera (Naifas) Guillermo and Javier -- Luisa Zini Department of Chemistry University of Southern California Los Angeles, CA phone: 213-7409337

A young couple of the new generation, They are both great teachers and very good in dancing the old style milonga with traspie and a lot of rhythm. So come and join us on Sunday October 15th 2000 at the: Hollywood Dance Studio 817 N. Highland (1 and 1/2 block North of Melrose) Hollywood From 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm The whole workshop will cost 25$ and 18$ for students with i.d. It is a unique opportunity to explore the close embrace milonga and to learn how to lead traspie and how to be quick in following them! If you need more pieces of information go to the following web address: http://www-rcf.usc.edu/~zini/paulamilonga where I posted a flier with Paula's and Guillermo biography and more detailed information. Hope to see you there, bye Luisa -- Luisa Zini Department of Chemistry University of Southern California Los Angeles, CA phone: 213-7409337
