Subject: EU-W,EU-E,NA-E,NA-W,NA-C,SA: Tango scene in Dublin, Ireland.
Hi folks,
I wanted to let the the folks know about a
wonderful place to tango, specially the folks
living or planning to visit Ireland & EU-W.
A new tango scene is just developing here in
dublin, Ireland. The dublin Argentine Tango society
start about 4 months ago. Paul and many other folks
are addicted to tango...you don't expect anything else!
People here are friendly (as you would expect IRISH),
eager to learn and dance.
Currently there are two regular weekly tango events.
Both the events are in pubs and in the dublin downtown.
1. Mother Red Caps pub: Tuesdays. classes start
around 7pm and dance till 11pm. I haven't been
to this place yet.
2. Turks Head Pub (parliment street): Sundays. milonga from 7:30
till atleast 11:00pm. This beautiful pub in temple bar,
though new, has the environment of 40 year old pub.
I have danced in many dance halls in san francisc
This place, for me, is second only to 'Top of the Mark'.
For more: http://www.geocities.com/tangoireland
Now you can enjoy craig, guinness & tango all at the same time.
cheers,
keshav.

Subject: NA:E "El Pulpo" Norberto & Luiza in Tampa Bay
A Weekend of Tango Workshop with Norberto & Luiza
Friday July 14th, Saturday July 15th, Sunday July 16th
I am pleased to announce a weekend of workshops with Norberto El Pulpo
Esbres and Luiza.
Norberto is a third generation tanguero. His father and grandfather were
both very talented bandoneonistas, giving Norberto over 80 years of Tango
tradition, history, and musicality. He has over twelve years of
professional dance experience and he and Luiza have taught in France,
Italy, Russia, Germany, Brazil, USA, and of course, Argentina.
Norberto and Luiza dance a truly unique style of Tango that is all their
own. They use ganchos in such a sensual fashion that they should be given a
different name and their leg wraps are unlike any you ve seen before. They
are famous for interesting and complex sequences of ganchos, sacadas and
enganches - earning him the nickname of El Pulpo (the Octopus). You have
got to see them for yourself!
