Subject: NA-E: United States Tango Congress
Dear tangueros and tangueras of the world:
Firstly, even though I worked with Randy and Lydia at the USTC, to try and
help as much as possible towards the success of the congress, this message is
totally unsolicited and comes directly from my observations and my heart.
Everybody had a great time, the teachers were great, the participants were
magnificent, the organization was incredibly good, with only a few details
which I'm sure will be definitely fixed for next year, but the most
extraordinary part of this congress were Randy and Lydia.
Very few people know the amount of work it takes to successfully present and
finish a congress of this size, not only because of the physical effort
involved, but the mental calmness that both Randy and Lydia had to have, in
dealing with the many hundred tangueros and tangueras, and from experience I
can say that each one of us tangueros and tangueras acted like the high
quality people that we are.
The quality of dancing that was seen at the milongas was outstanding and the
camaraderie among everybody was unique.
Congratulations to Randy and Lydia for having brought to the tango world this
magnificent event, and,
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
Frank Sasson
