Subject: SA: SPECIAL TOUR PACKAGE FOR CITA VISITORS IN BUENOS AIRES
AN UNUSUAL TOUR FOR PARTICIPANTS OF CITA-2000!!
We have put together a great package that includes going to milongas in the
city, on the best nights, with Argentine men and women who are excellent
dancers and personal friends, going out to eat at lively and typical
restaurants,
a trip from Tigre into the delta bayou on boats, a class about the meaning
and origens of "lunfardo" ; the slang of tango that originated from the many
languages of immigrants who birthed the dance of tango. Lyrics of tango are
full of "lunfardo". Classes in basic Spanish, and a home evening wine and
"empanada" party to learn the etiquette of the tango salons, which is complex
and you MUST know if you are going out to dance.
Also, a three hour tour of the city with an architect who can tell you
the fascinating histories of the varied and exquiste buildings of Buenos
Aires, a tour of an Argentine vineyard, and a "salon" afternoon with an
artisan of "filetear"; the handpainted signs that you have surely seen, that
decorated the tango dance halls 150 years ago. You can design your own, and
take it home.
And much more!!
This package will cost you $150 per person, and will include transportation
and all costs except entrance to the clubs ($5 or more ), any restaurant
charges, or tips, although tips in Buenos Aires are not the rule.
There is a choice between: the architectural tour, the trip to Tigre on
the delta, and the tour of an Argentine vineyard, so please include your
choice in the response. Sign up for BAUMA ( Buenos Aires, Una Mirada
Amorosa) at email: kikibri @aol.com, or phone toll free in USA:(877)463-6906.
