If you are coming to Buenos Aires this month, I recommend a visit to the
Abasto shopping mall on Corrientes between Aguero and Anchorena to see an
exhibition of more than 300 posters. It is sponsored by Associacion Amigos
de La Academia Portena del Lunfardo for the Premio Jose Gobello. Gardel
"Lunfa y Senor" is the theme. First prize is $7,000. You will find it on
level 1 of the mall. Admission is free.

TimmyTango will be celebrating his 2nd Anniversary with a Dress-up Dinner
Dance called Tango Snow Ball (I hope there is no snow)on Saturday, February
19 at Belinda's Night Club
in Cleveland, Ohio
There will be tango performances by Daniel Lapadula with Christy Cote, Tioma
"El Ruso" Maloratsky with Katrina Zeno, and Jorge Nel will dance with Mara
Carlson.
Tango workshop will be taught all day Saturday and Sunday, with Private
lessons available.
There will two LIVE bands.
"Tango Passion" will play tangos ]
"Kowakan" will play salsa and Merengue
a fabulous Top Sirloin dinner
and Door prizes. Carlos Compello donated 5 of his new tapes just for one
And there will be a great prize for the best tango dressed couple there, and
that entrance into the next workshop with Fernanda Ghi and Guilleermo Merlo
in april
Pre-registration has been outstanding. People have paid from Florida, Boston,
Philly, Pittsburgh, Nashville, California, Michigan, and West Virginia
