Subject: NA-E: Pablo Veron workshop
Whew! Another last minute workshop. "Tango Argentino" has closed but Pablo
Veron has decided to remain in New York for a couple of weeks. As most of you
know he was the star of "The Tango Lesson" and was one of the dancers in this
latest "T.A." production. He has performed around the world and is certainly
one of the greatest currently dancing today.
Danel and Maria will be sponsoring a workshop by Pablo on Sunday Jan.16. at
Sandra Cameron Dance Center, 20 Cooper Sq. 6th fl. @ 5th St. (near Astor
Place and 8th St. subway stops).
Focusing on posture, balance and movement, all of the classes are geared
toward Intermediate/Advanced level dancers. The schedule and fees are below:
Tango--------2-4:00 PM....................$35.
Vals----------4:15-5:15 PM................$20.
Milonga-------5:30-6:30 PM...............$20.
All four workshops...........................$65.
For information call 718-325-6579
For registration call 212-674-0505 (Sandra Cameron Dance Center)
The workshop will be limited to 25 men and 25 women! Pre-registration is
suggested (payment is required to reserve) to avoid being shut out of class.
If you are in the New York area this weekend please try to take advantage of
this. I have no financial interest in this, just spreading the news.

Subject: Bay Area First All Night Milonga, Sat. Jan. 22 2000, Berkeley, CA
Hi everybody,
I was asked to post the following announcement which to me , at least,
is very interesting,
have a great day, bye Luisa
La Rayuela - Hopscotch
Bay Area First All Night Milonga
January 22nd, 2000
The Beat, dance studio, Berkeley, CA
Una vez en la vida - Once in a life as if we were in Buenos Aires.
This is the greatest opportunity to dance all night long here in the Bay
Area without the Cinderella rush, without the fear of approaching
midnight when every shining light and great music and fun disappears
with no mercy. It is going to happen on a perfect night, Saturday, when
the dancing fever catches everybody and the need to dance till
exhaustion is a deep and blind must.
On this special night all sorts of goodies (drinks and food ) will be
available and a one hour and a half class by Roberto Riobo will be
offered. Roberto is here on a short visit from Buenos Aires, he is a
professor of Tango at La Universidad del Tango in Buenos Aires and was
so kind to offer us his contribution to the party.
The music will be organized by me (Guillermo Valente ) and by the group
todos los de arriba. We are open for further suggestions so bring your
favorite tunes not only of tango music. The space is Babs studio the
Beat in Berkeley.
