This email covers the schedule of all MASTER CLASSES ( Tango / Milonga / Waltz / Canyengue ) with Maria and Rodolfo Cieri Claudia Codega/Esteban Moreno Veronica Alvarenga/Pablo Inza and teachers from the Tangueria. Details of this schedule be found at this address on the web: http://www.tango.montreal.qc.ca/tangosched.htm Daniel Saindon gardien @tango.montreal.qc.ca ************************************* Email from the Organizer ( excerps ) ************************************* Montreal, February 22, 2000 Hi! Here is the schedule of the lessons: 32 classes, 23 by the dancers of the show, and 9 by the teachers of the Tangueria. Only 1 class is given on the 19th, one on the 20th, and 2 on the 21st of April. The majority of the classes are on the 22-23-24 of April. This schedule was made so that the people from outside of Montr=E9al can take the maximum number of classes. The 2 venues are at walking distance, but the majority of the classes will be held at Studio Bizz, a great location in front of the metro(subway) in the center of the Latin Quarter. You have until the 7th of April to register, so if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, and I will be glad to answer all of them. Date: Sun, 27 Feb 2000 16:15:49 -0300 From: Janis Kenyon <jantango @FEEDBACK.NET.AR> Subject: SA: La Costanera Sur en Buenos Aires La Costanera Sur has been returned to its original splendor of the 1930s. Until the 1960s, people went here to bath in the river, but because of the polution, it was prohibited. Across the river is an ecological reserve which was opened in 1980. The renovation took five years at a cost $5 million. Replicas of street lights of France in the 1930s illuminate this walkway of 3 kilometers. There are three confiterias (between Av. Costanera Dr. Tristan Achaval Rodriguez & Av. Calabria) with the names of the originals: Brisas del Plata, La Perla y La Alameda. An outdoor arena (at Bulevar Rosario Penaloza y Av. Calabria) for free shows has a capacity for 2,500 persons. This would be a nice place to go with your tango partner on a summer evening. You could hire a Remise for a few hours and bring along a cassette player and tapes. La Costanera Sur reminded me of walks along the Seine in Paris.
