Saturday evening, 26 February 2000: 9 pm - 12:30 am with special demonstration by Omar Vega. ** Send in your registrations soon to take advantage of the lower advance registration rates. You can get a copy of the registration at http://www.bostontango.org/special-events/omar-vega/omar-vega-announce.pdf or just get there from http://www.bostontango.org/ or you can use the information in this e-mail ** Omar Vega is a highly regarded Tango dancer and teacher from Buenos Aires, and an excellent and expressive teacher. In addition to Tango, his speciality is Milonga with traspie (syncopations). To take advantage of this, we have organized 5 workshops in Milonga, and 3 in Tango. Details below. Omar has appeared in the movie "The Tango Lesson" and also on the "Solo Tango" TV channel. He has taught throughout the United States and Europe, and of course in Buenos Aires, where he was on the CITA-1999 faculty. His trademark is a calm style based on rhythmically flowing movements with small and fast "traspie" syncopations, which adds a surprising playfulness into his dancing, and an interpretive interplay between the music and the movement.
