Subject: Misc: Still time to come to Reno
There is still time to sign-up for the original and still the
best fabulous Labor Day Weekend Tango Getaway. September 1-4, 2000 at
the Reno Hilton Resort and Casino in Reno,Nevada.
In addition to over twelve hours of group classes with master
teachers Alberto Paz and Valorie Hart; Buenos Aires milongueros
Nestor and Patricia Ray; sensual Guillermo Merlo and Fernanda Ghi,
there will be two great milongas.
Saturday, September 2 is the Reno Tango Ball with dinner, dancing and
a professional show.
Sunday, September 3 is the Graduation Milonga with dinner, dancing ,
certificate presentation and participants showcase.
The public is invited to attend either or both nights by reservation
only for $65 per person each night.
This year Planet Tango's boutique will feature exclusively the best
in women Tango shoes by Tara Designs.
Clothing stylist Jodee Adair's well priced and exciting collection of
dance clothing will be presented exclusively for the second time. For
those who attended Planet Tango's first Labor Day Weekend in 1997,
you will remember how great these clothes are both in terms of
quality and price.
Videos, the best in dancing music on CDs and a variety of artwork
will also be available.
There are still a few guest rooms available at the Reno Hilton, and
several participants have indicated that they will share their
spacious and comfortable rooms.

bodies in motion. Endless, fantastic combinations, all improvised, all led,
all revealed. Expand your experience & understanding of tango.
Classes are set-up in a progressive way, taking the uninitiated and
experienced alike, from the structure and foundation of their method,
through more advanced and intricate movements, rhythms, and techniques.
These classes are designed to build on the previous classes. For the more
experienced, there will be advanced/special classes designed with them in
mind.
To get the most from these classes we encourage you to take them as a
package. Every attempt will be made to have good gender balance. Please be
advised that these are intermediate and advanced level classes (unless
otherwise stated). Make an honest self-assessment of your level before
signing up. Please call if you have questions regarding the level of
difficulty.
Chicho & Lucia are fluent in English and are assisted by expert translators
for clear and precise explanations of the instructions, so you will not miss
any detail.

- Tango I - 1-3pm. Foundations, the Naveira/Salas technique, men & women.
Essential for later classes.
- Tango II - 3:30 - 5:30pm. Executing The Led Boleo: front, back, & boleo
combinations. Boleos with a punch!
Sunday, October 1st
- Tango V - 1-3pm. Giros and Double Giros. Rhythm, Dynamics And Mechanics
of a Great Giro. Expanding the possibilities
- Tango VI - 3:30 - 5:30pm. Uncommon Sacadas & Ganchos. Technique for
Back, Front & Women's Sacadas.
Prices
Classes are $28, with a 10% discount if signing up for all classes. There
is an additional 10% for early registration prior to Sept. 6th. Student
discounts available.
