Date: Mon, 7 Aug 2000 18:00:12 -0300 From: Janis Kenyon <jantango @FEEDBACK.NET.AR> Subject: MISC: Apartment in Buenos Aires for Rent to Tango Dancers A friend has completely redecorated and furnished a small apartment she owns in a great location close to several milongas and in the neighborhood San Cristobal where I live. It is walking distance to Celia Blanco's studio/milonga, Nino Bien, Salon Moreno and close to bus stops that will take you to many other milongas. There are several grocery stores close by as well as banks with ATM machines (Banelco), laundromat, and Locutorios where you can make long distance phone calls, mail letters to friends, or check email on your Internet account. The apartment has one bedroom (approx. 9' x 9') with double bed, large window (southern exposure) with Levolar blinds and curtains. It has a large closet with drawers and compartments to hang clothes. There are two nightstands with lamps. The room is freshly painted and bright. Bed linens are provided. The bathroom (approx. 4' x 5') has a medicine cabinet with mirror and shower stall. Towels are provided. The living/dining room (approx. 14' x 10') has a sofa/bed (twin), television with cable stations, large dining table with four chairs, and telephone for local calls. The living room has a beautifully varnished wood floor. The kitchen (5' x 6') has a large refrigerator/freezer and cabinets that are stocked with everything you will need for cooking and some supplies. There is a portable electric fan to use in the bedroom or living room, but no air conditioning. The apartment is on the first floor (above street level) in the rear of a very quiet building on Estados Unidos near Entre Rios. You have to walk down the hallway to the rear and walk up a flight of stairs to the apartment. The apartment will accommodate one or two people comfortably. The owner lives across the street. She will arrange for a Remise to meet you at the airport and bring you to the apartment. Rental for one week is $250; two weeks $400; three weeks $550; a month $700 plus $20 for cleaning after your stay. A deposit is required to confirm your reservation. Nonsmokers only. This apartment has been rented constantly since January and is now available for Spring and Summer rental. Contact me soon if you are interested. Please pass this information on to any friends who are planning a visit to Buenos Aires. Janis Kenyon Buenos Aires
