Date: Wed, 13 Oct 1999 08:29:29 +0000 From: Robin Tara <rtara @MAINE.RR.COM> Subject: MISC: TANGO SHOES Shoe News!! It is finally possible to get tango shoes in the US! After trying for years, and failing to find a suitable tango shoe in the United States I decided to seek out a factory in South America that would work with me to create a really great shoe for tango dancers. I wanted to offer a shoe that would offer elegant styling and a tango "look" while also providing comfort and stability on the dance floor. I found a factory that made very high quality dress shoes of the finest leathers with great attention to detail. They were willing to spend months working with me to develop a perfect "last" for tango shoes. Working with this last, we designed a line of shoes that are as well made as the finest Italian shoes. When you step into these shoes you will immediately feel the difference. They caress your foot like a fine kid glove, yet they also offer a great deal of support making it comfortable to dance all night. The secret is in the engineering of the last and the additional built-in padding under the ball of the foot. Tara Tango shoes are of all leather construction with a steel shank and a traditional hard leather sole. Customers who prefer a split sole may have them applied by their shoemaker. Tara Tango shoes are currently available in 4 styles and a selection of heels and come in standard American sizes from 5-10 including half sizes. New colors and designs will be introduced seasonally and a line of men's shoes is due in Summer 2000 or before. We do not yet accept credit cards but will gladly accept checks or money orders. Shoes are returnable for a full refund or exchange if they show no signs of wear. All shoes are $140. each plus $10. each shipping and handling. For More information contact: Tara Design 18 Stillman St. So. Portland, ME 04106 207-741-2642 rtara @maine.rr.com feel free to call or e-mail with questions
