Brooke will visit Boston and Dallas (January), and Denver and Salt Lake (Feb-Mar). Together, Brooke and Gaby will visit Boston, Portland and Chicago (Feb). For details, see itinerary and contacts below. ******************************************************* Announcement: Brooke Burdett and Gabriel Guerberoff of Buenos Aires will be teaching tango workshops in cities ranging throughout the US during the winter of 2000. Brooke, formerly of Denver and now living in Buenos Aires, will also be teaching various workshops on her own. Dates listed below. Brooke and Gabriel (Gaby) teach and perform tango in Buenos Aires and have taught numerous workshops in the US. Their students describe them as "excellent communicators," "down-to-earth," and "inspiring.". Brooke and Gaby belong to a set of young dancers in Buenos Aires who have studied with a range of important tango masters and of late have been greatly influenced by the revolutionary developments in tango led primarily by Gustavo Naveira, Fabian Salas, and Chicho. Among their credits include a set of instructional videos Brooke made with Daniel Trenner (DanceVisions USA) and an instructional video Gaby made with Luciana Valle (Bridge to the Tango). Gaby was recently a featured instructor at the Tango Locura festival in Montreal in July and at the Tango Escape weekend in Pennsylvania at the end of October. The last three years, Brooke has worked as a staff instructor and recently also as translator for Bridge to the Tango tours in Buenos Aires.
