Re: [TANGO-L] Where to Tango in Paris

While Paris tango is pleasant (and frankly in which place is it not?), I
found apres-tango late night transport problematic. The metro/subway closed
relatively early, midnight or so; cruising taxis were few and almost always
occupied (some people sat on the sidewalk, having waited for 30-45 minutes);
night buses seemed limited in their coverage, not very frequent and the
stops resembled beehives, no queues and a little disorganised. All in all,
not a very pleasant end to an otherwise enjoyable evening.

Fortunately, my hotel was about a mile or so from the Rue de Temple place,
La Latina, the weather was good, so I just walked. And, as luck would have
it, a taxi stopped nearby to drop off a passenger, so I got it. Another
visiting friend was less lucky: she had to call her hotel to send a cab.

Perhaps there is some solution which locals can advise: a radio taxi which
one should use?

Good wishes to all.

Hello listeros,

I will be in Paris soon (France, not Texas) and I am looking for personal
recommendations of which milonga to attend.

Thanks in advance.
