Dear TC:

The secrets to really finding out where to dance tango
is Paris, is to:

1.  Speak French fluently and read the French only web
sites
2.  Go to Bistro Latin at 20 rue du Temple WED-SAT and
pickup one of the many publications left there on the
table downstairs.  Also, BL is the grand central
station of Tango in Paris, so you will see everyone
sooner or later.  Same applies to dancing tango
outside for FREE on the left bank (rive gauche) of the
River Seine, next to the Sully-Moreland bridge, near
the gare d'Austerlitz, when the weather is nice.
(mostly in the summer time)
3. Go to the FREE Tango World Wide database from
dancers at:

http://www.tangoworldwide.com

and select Paris, France

Dancers can upload, pictures, videos, audios, details
and maps, and there is detailed information about
where to dance in Paris.

I live and dance tango in Paris and Houston, so
basically, I am there a lot, off and on.  The scene is
great, because a lot of Argentines live there full
time and dance.  The French, of course, still think
that Argentine tango is a slow waltz...lol.  I went to
high school in Switzerland, so I have a lot of friends
who are native Parisians, so I know the French pretty
well. They are wonderful, but of course, Argentine
tango is called Argentine tango, for a reason.  That
is because it came out of Argentine culture.  The
French popularized it worldwide, thank God, but they
did not invent it.  Bistro Latin is Argentine, and
about 50-50, so it is definitely a fun place to dance.
