[TANGO-L] Tango Lies and Good Tango Citizenship.. Please forget the marketing stuff.."styles and physical sensitivites"

Dear Trini:

I am sure that you and Susana Miller would like to
change the subject line from "Tango Lies" to "Styles
and Physical Sensitivities". Sounds much better for
the "stealth marketing double speak" I am constantly
hearing on this list.

Let see, from the US automobile industry we already
have:

"Genuine simulated air vents"

"Genuine vinyl leather"

"Pre-owned"...."used cars"

and now from Susana Miller...

"Milongero style is THE STYLE in Buenos Aires and it
is for adults, not children"

This is all marketing "hype" or "direct lies" from her
and her teachers just to make money. This is not
about the innocuous sounding word "styles".

What I would like to see Susana Miller and her
non-Argentine-Spanish speaking tango teachers say is
that

"THE STYLE in Argentina is SALON"

This would be much closer to the truth.

This whole thing is not about style at all. It is
about good tango citizenship and fairness. Putting
others down is not right. Your leader, Susana Miller,
is not acting like a good tango citizen, and she is
encouraging others to do the same. This is the real
problem. My opinion.
