Dear Derik
I think that you are too strong in your opinion, though stick to them, they are
precious because they are yours.
For a short while I was also puzzled by the strong opinions expressed by the
'milonguero' dancers. But I am reading their opinions differently. It is not
rejection of other styles or other dancers, it is puzzlement.
They found in this way of dancing something beautiful and they are puzzled,
why other dancers cannot see this beauty.
Most of the listeros have this feeling in another context. I love tango music
that much that I have hard time understanding that somebody can not share his
or even dislike Tango?!
Probably most of the strong opinions expressed on this list has similar roots.
As for Susana Miller, I have never seen he and I know about her only from this
list. Nevertheless I doubt that she offended local teacher publicly and
without a reason. If you think of it, almost all workshops are organized by
the local teachers. Antagonizing local teachers would be the worst marketing
technique that I can think of...
