Dear All:
Brian, great post about the true origin of the Ocho
Cortado, a step I almost dislike and try not to use.
I am so tired of people asking me which Argentine
tango I dance, close embrace or salon. It drives me
crazy. What are they thinking???? To me Argentine
tango is not "either"... "or", "them" or "us", it is
"all". Tango is a "street" developed on bad dance
floors (the streets...) which came from immigrants,
from every segment of society in the world. That is
exactly why it is so great. All countries contributed
to it in a way. To me tango should be all inclusive
not exclusive. My humble opinion.... Thank you for
your insight.
PS- I love close embrace, just not all the time...lol
