Subject: Tango restaurant in Miami, still around?

Dear List,

somebody from Miami wrote to me in private saying that there are rumors
that Lito, the owner of the restaurant with tango nights in Miami, is
thinking
of changing his tango nights to a disco format for.... the old money reason!

Lito is a terrific tango aficionado, he sings and tells the stories behind
the
songs, who wrote them, who sang them in the past, a complete walking and
singing tango encyclopedia!  Unfortunately he needs to run a restaurant
business also, and support a family, and maybe the support he gets from
only tango is not enough for the expenses he has.

If you plan to go, rush, before he does the conversion, it's an
unforgettable
experience.

"Anos Locos" on Coral Way and 27th or 24th.

The live music program should be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night,

Subject: Tango competition

Thanks for your answers, that I found very interesting.
Here in Italy we debate of the some things, because many tangolovers
are afraid for the possibility that dance-teachers-association may denaturalize
this wonder dance. However many teachers of the association think to diffuse
this dance, known by few dancers, respecting its nature.
