If you manage to find a CD of him anyway, please let us know. Enjoy the Tango, Garrit > I am trying, for a long time and without a success, to find CD's with > Anselmo > Aieta y su Orquesta. Date: Fri, 19 Nov 1999 10:16:49 EST From: Candy Korman <Milonga @AOL.COM> Subject: New Years Plans around the Tango World I've decided to stick close to home -- New York -- and dance at the big Tango Millenium party here. But I was talking to friends last night about various options for New Year's eve. One is going all the way the Netherlands for Eric Jorrissen's party in Nijmegen. I'm curious about events around the U.S. and the world. I think the party in New York will be good -- music, food, not expensive -- but I'd love to hear about other events. Anybody know what going on?

The first one was (is) about Anselmo Aieta himself: www.tango.montreal.qc.ca/aieta.htm Furthermore I found the ALMA EN PENA lyrics: arcadia.informatik.uni-muenchen.de/rec/argentina/tangos/tango00166.html (and the lyrics of some other songs written by Aieta) I thought thad I had found a CD of Aieta when reading AIETA, Anselmo CCS 5393 Palomita blanca on www.acorncd.com/browse/channel%20classics.html. Unfortunately CCS 5393 is a CD of Baltazar Benmtez (guitar) & Alfredo Marcucci (bandonesn) as you can see from www.channelclassics.com/Pages/Catalogi/inlay_cc.html But maybe there is a CLUB TANGO ARGENTINO (in Japan) owning a CD of ANSELMO ALFREDO AIETA!!! On www.d1.dion.ne.jp/~cta/list.html there is a list which I take for a CD list. So if someone (Kordian, Garrit, Manuel ?) wants to contact them, here is the info from their page: E-mail : cta @d1.dion.ne.jp URL : http://www.d1.dion.ne.jp/~cta Good luck (and report results)! Date: Fri, 19 Nov 1999 14:18:15 -0600 From: Stephen P Brown <Stephen.P.Brown @DAL.FRB.ORG> Subject: New Instructional Videos Robb Green has released a new set of instructional videos directed by Adam Boucher (Tango: The Obsession) and featuring Carlos Copello and Alicia Monti. I saw the version in Spanish and considered it among the very best of the many instructional videos I have seen. **** Carlos Copello and Alicia Monti: How to Tango (4 tape set) Carlos and Alicia are elegant, expressive and personable dancers who are quite at home in front of the camera. In this well-produced set of videos, Carlos and Alicia offer detailed lessons rather than the extensive coverage of steps that characterize so many instructional videos. The instruction starts with the basic (with and without an initial back step) and progresses through 12 figures in the first two videos. The third and fourth videos together offer seven sophisticated combinations. The intensive instruction covers details of each figure and pattern including lead and follow. Carlos and Alicia also explain and demonstrate improvisation, but offer no direct instruction in improvisational skills. Adam Boucher (director of Tango: The Obsession) directed the four-camera production. Each tape is just under 60 minutes long. Available in Spanish and dubbed English. Price: $44.95 for each video (California. residents add $3.71 for sales tax) or $169.95 for the complete set of four videos (California residents add $14.02 sales tax) including s&h to U.S. addresses from Mark Celaya,4651 Cahuenga Blvd, #309, Toluca Lake, CA 91602, telephone: (818) 763-1294 or (213) 896-1433, email: <mark-joan-tango @juno.com>, webpage: <http://home.att.net/~mark-joan-tango/> By the way, Mark is also selling video copies of Adam Boucher's film, "Tango: The Obsession" For a listing and my reviews of 62 of the 88 instructional videos now available in the United States visit Planet Tango.
