Hello fellow Tango enthusiasts:
What follows is a summary of Marcelo and Yanina's schedule for the month of
April.
GROUP CLASSES:
Commencing April 5, WEDNESDAY is BEGINNING-INTERMEDIATE, 8-8:30 warm up,
8:30-9:30 class, 9:30-10pm practice, and commencing April 7, FRIDAY is
BEGINNING-INTERMEDIATE from 8-8:30 warm up, class 8:30-9:30pm, and 9:30-10
practice. Price is $15/class.
NEW CLASS -
Commencing April 7, FRIDAY from 7-8 is a BEGINNERS class, 8-8:30 practice.
Price is $50 per person for a 4-week series (beginning Apr.7-28) payable at
the first night of the series.
These changes will continue until further notice.
WORKSHOPS:
Sunday, April 9, 3-5pm, The Studio, 1018 Almanor Lane, Lafayette. A workshop
on Posture, Balance, Breathing, Disassociation and Coordination,
Self-knowledge and or body knowledge, Partners Communication: lead and
follow, Footwork, Elements of walking, pivots, turns molinetes,
Embellishments, and advice on how to improve your skills. Have fun even when

Sunday, April 16, The Danceasy, 9951 San Pablo Ave., El Cerrito. Two themes

Subject: NA-W: Metin Yazir in San Francisco Bay Area
For those of you who have been following the postings on Tango-L, the
teacher you have been waiting for will finally arrive this week. Metin
Yazir who has been lauded for his style, elegance and improvisational style
of teaching and dance will be spending 10 days here. His first class will
be on Friday 8-10 p.m., "Embellishments for Women," at the Beat in Berkeley,
9th and Dwight, $25 adv. $30 door.
On Saturday he will be doing two classes at La Pena, 3105 shattuck Ave in
Berkeley, a fundamentals class 1-3 p.m. and intermediate salon 3-5. Each of
these workshops will be $25 adv./ or $30 door, with a discount of $5 if both
are taken.
That evening he will be teaching at the BEat just before the all night
milonga. His class on "Milonguero Style Close embrace" will be from 9:15 -
10:30. Both the class and milonga are $15, a great bargain, considering you
get to dance to dawn!
Sunday he will be doing two workshops at Rhythm and Motion, 1133 Mission,
SF. From 1-3 "Creating your own Tango Steps" and from 3-5 p.m "Easy
Aerials". Each workshop will be $25 adv and $30 at the door.
That evening he will do a special introductory workshop for beginners 7-8:30
p.m. only $10, a great way to begin correctly.

Hi folks,
As many of you already know "Forever Tango" will be performing in
Sacramento California from Tuesday April 4th through Sunday April 9th.
Tickets can be ordered from the Community Center box office at
916-264-5181. We are very grateful to Hillary Reinis and her
promotional company and to the Sacramento Ballet for bringing this
world class show to Sacramento.=20
Sacramento Tango is planning a week of activities during the
company's stay here, as follows:
MONDAY, April 3rd: Social dancing resumes at the Paris Cafe at 2326 K

TUESDAY, April 4th: The show opens at the Sacramento Community Center

SATURDAY, April 8th: Workshop with Jorge Torres & Karina Piazza at
128 J Street upstairs from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Jorge Torres is the

the workshop is $35 with advanced registration and $40 at the door

the wonderful workshop they taught here last year. The cost for this
