All classes, milongas, privates, relaxing, schmoozing, practicing, or whatever will take place in the Temple Ballroom, 6401 SE Foster. This building has two large ballrooms and a large basement meeting room for our use. There will be milongas Fri ($6 pay at the door) and Sat evening ($8 pay at the door) to recorded music and a Sunday evening ball with Tango Divino (4-piece all-girl tango orchestra), snacks, and instructor performances. The instructors are (a) Evan Wallace, Michelle Badion, Tony Fan, and Ilana Rubin from Seattle, (b) Christy Cote, Christopher Nassopoulos, George Guim, Tracy Calk, Gary Weinberg and Chelsea Eng from San Francisco, (c) Daniel Lapadula from Miami, and (d) Luciana Valle, Marcelo Solis, Yanina Messina, Tomas Howlin, Silvana Grill, Norberto (El Pulpo) and Luiza from Buenos Aires. We're pleased to announce a special tango weekend at Tango=85nada mas on October 29-31. Leandro, Andrea and Gabriel were the stars of Santa Fe Tango Week. They are not only wonderful dancers, but some of the most thorough teachers ever seen in the US. There will be a total of 8 workshops in this intensive learning weekend. They will teach tango combinations ("steps") on specific topics, always focused on technique. Tango, milonga and vals will all be taught in these intermediate/advanced level classes.
